In Go and Tell, Nicole Parks shares biblical insight on how to fight against purposeless, powerless, and patriarchal Christianity. This podcast explores three principles that were foundational to the early church and woefully deficient in the American church today.
Foundational principle #1 is to go and tell in purpose. We cannot understand our purpose without understanding God's ultimate purpose and how we fit in.
Foundational principle #2 is to go and tell in power. God equipped us with the Holy Spirit to do the work that He gave us. If the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives within us, there should be evidence of it. There should be power.
Foundational principle #3 is to go and tell in confidence. This speaks specifically to women in leadership in the church. The gospel that Jesus modeled and taught was not patriarchal, and a correct interpretation of Paul is not either.
Each episode will take a deep dive into the Scriptures to show that the gospel of Jesus was never meant to be purposeless, powerless, and patriarchal, and how we can regain those principles in the church today.
This schedule is tentative and subject to change.
This episode will introduce Go and Tell with Nicole Parks.
God has a purpose, shown throughout the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. We cannot find our purpose without knowing His purpose.
God equipped us with the Holy Spirit to do the work that He gave us. If the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives within us, there should be evidence of it. There should be power.
Jesus elevated the status of women well above the norm for His time. Paul actually rebuked those in the church who tried to silence women. It is well past time to revisit interpretation of women in the church.
