I have always had a passion for the nations, even before I met the Lord. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 2004 with a BBA in International Business. After working in the corporate world for about 5 years, I found myself working in ministry. I began working in global missions in 2014 and that is when I discovered my true passion and calling. I pursued a seminary degree and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in 2022 from Liberty University with an M.A. in Global Studies. I am a regular instructor for Perspectives on the Worldwide Christian Movement and have taught at churches and missions conferences throughout the southeast.
There are a lot of biblical topics I enjoy teaching on, but like most people, I certainly have some favorites. I love to teach on the grand narrative of Scripture, or God's overarching story from Genesis to Revelation. Other favorite topics include the Abrahamic Covenant, the choosing and the role of the nation of Israel, the biblical basis for missions, the story of God's glory throughout the Scriptures, and the Great Commission. I also enjoy teaching on the state of the world today in terms of global evangelism. I share firsthand experiences, stories, and pictures from multiple different cultures and contexts.
From my personal testimony, I can share about not growing up in a Christian home and finding God as an adult. I can share about powerful personal encounters with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and Holy Spirit. I love teaching on the role and the power of the Holy Spirit, especially in missions. I also enjoy teaching youth and young adults on the value of purity and healthy relationships, both of which I learned the hard way.
As a speaker, I have often been described as engaging and relatable. As a mother of three young kids, I share personal stories that make my teaching relatable and understandable. I don't teach like a professor at a podium, but rather, as a friend over coffee. I have been nicknamed 'The Velvet Hammer' for the soft approach I have in bringing a powerful word.
I'm not an overly emotional communicator, but I will often show emotion in my passionate convictions. I'm not an overly dramatic preacher, but I will not restrain the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit.
I have taught in non-denominational churches, Pentecostal churches, Baptist churches, and everything in between and I've been comfortable and welcomed in all.
